Hello

Hi, I’m Nicole, the founder of Happy Little Sparks. I’m all about helping families create those magical little moments with their babies that make parenthood so special. As a mum myself, I know how much of a rollercoaster those early days can be, and I’ve been there too! That’s why I’ve poured my heart into creating a warm, welcoming space where you can feel supported, understood, and confident. It’s not just about the classes—it’s about connecting with other parents and sharing the journey together.

My Story

Hi, as a mum of two boys and the founder of Happy Little Sparks. My journey to creating this supportive space has been shaped by my personal experiences of motherhood, as well as over 12 years of working with babies and young children.

When my first son was born extremely premature, we spent a long time in hospital. While it was an incredibly challenging time, I was fortunate to have the support of my family, my partner, and the wonderful staff who cared for him. Attending baby classes after we returned home often made me feel out of place—he seemed so different from the other babies. Then came COVID, a time that showed us all the importance of connection, bonding, and slowing down to truly be present.

Welcoming my second son at full term brought its own challenges. I was diagnosed with PTSD from the trauma of my first experience and leaned heavily on the support of a wonderful postnatal team. Adjusting to motherhood again felt overwhelming, but I was lucky to find a community of mums at a local baby group. These incredible women have been a constant source of friendship and understanding—we still talk daily, years later, and their support has been life-changing.

Professionally, I’ve spent over a decade teaching swimming, with a special focus on baby and preschool classes. Watching babies grow and develop has always been a joy, but I missed the deeper connection with parents that wasn’t always possible in a pool setting. When my eldest started school, I realised the traditional evening and weekend schedule didn’t work for our family. I wanted to create something that balanced my passion for supporting families with the flexibility to be present for my own children.

This led me to train as a music and movement instructor with To Baby and Beyond. But my vision grew. I dreamed of building a community where every parent felt empowered and supported—just as I had been, I founded Happy Little Sparks, a space dedicated to nurturing parents and their little ones.

To bring this vision to life, I began my training as a Village Visionary with Blossom & Berry, a program focused on building communities that embrace instinctive, connected parenting. Since then, I’ve qualified as an infant massage instructor, tummy time practitioner, and more. My work focuses on supporting families through their parenting journey.

In November 2024, I had the honour of speaking at the annual Village Visionary event, sharing my message "You Are Enough." This phrase embodies my belief in leaning into instinctive parenting and finding joy in those small, everyday moments with your child.

At Happy Little Sparks, we embrace all parenting styles, offering practical, positive ways to connect with your baby, yourself and others. I’m committed to growing alongside the families I work with, and I’m always open to collaboration, suggestions, and feedback.

Let’s build a nurturing community together, one spark at a time.
